The home of height & grandeur
Khetwadicha Raja Sarvajanik Shree Ganeshotsav Mandal is rooted in Khambata Lane, Khetwadi, in the heart of Girgaon. Grand Peshwa-style mandaps, soaring idols and gold-and-diamond alankaar draw all of Mumbai here for darshan.
Khetwadi is famed for Mumbai's tallest, grandest idols. In 2000, Khetwadi made history with a 40-foot idol — then the tallest Ganesh in India — and the tradition of height is proudly carried forward.
Beyond the utsav, the mandal stays active in social work all year — faith, heritage and seva are our guiding values.
Over the decades, grand themed idols — from a Ram Avatar to the towering 38-foot Shri Krishna Avatar of 2025, the mandal's 56th year — and visits by personalities such as Adesh Bandekar, Shilpa Shetty and Suresh Wadkar have made Khetwadicha Raja a Mumbai favourite.
Faith
Unwavering devotion to Bappa is our inspiration — every aarti and every darshan is offered with bhakti.
Heritage
Tall idols, Peshwa-style mandaps and the grand Girgaon Chowpatty visarjan — Khetwadi's heritage, kept alive across generations.
Seva
Blood drives, health camps, education support and annadan — community service that continues all year beyond the utsav.
